Storyboard Video Shots

1) This is a low angle shot taken from a lower point of view looking at the subject. This subject is posing for the video, and the whole body is in the shot.

2) This is a tilt shot , where the camera moves vertically and looks at a building from the bottom to the top. This shot shows a staircase from this view.

3) This is an example of a two shot, where two people were having a conversation in a frame wide enough for it. Here we see an example of two people having a conversation at a lunch table.
4) This is an over the shoulder shot, which is when a characters point of view is seen, but also where the person's side or shoulder is seen.

5) This is an extreme close up shot, where the small detail of the pupils can be seen.

6) This is an example of an Eye level shot.  The subject is seen leveled with camera.

7) This is a pan shot of the courtyard. The camera is moved horizontally around a fixed axis.

8) This shot is called a Follow shot. In a follow shot, the camera person follows the subject, like seen in this example of following Zoe.

9) This is called a Dolly shot. In a Dolly shot, the camera person has to film on a moving object. In this video, the camera person filmed on a rolling chair.
10) This is an example of a Close up shot. In this shot, a part of the body is zoomed into.

  1. Hey Cayley! My favorite shots you took were the Dolly, Eye level and the over the shoulder shot. I like the dolly shot because it was very clean and well done. The teacher stepping out the door and walking past the camera also gave a cool effect. It reminded of camera footage from a robot. I also like your take on the eye level shot. This is because it made me feel like I was there with the subject and talking to them. Finally I liked the over the shoulder shot. I liked it because it reminded me of how it feels as a freshman following around a friend because you aren't sure of the school yet.

  2. Great Job! I really liked your two shot, pan shot, and follow shot. The two shot was filmed well and it kinda reminded me of what a normal conversation/interaction looked like before the pandemic. Furthermore, the pan shot established the hectic behavior thats usually present during lunch time. Finally, I really like the follow shot. The follow shot was really clean and it showed an amazing view to the sky.

  3. Amazing job Cayley! It looks phenomenal, I really liked your follow shot, two shot, and over the shoulder shot. I like the follow shot because it was done extremely well and it felt so real. I actually felt as if I was walking behind Zoe and following her down the hall, it made me feel like I was there, a connection, and a part of the scene. The two shot was another one of my favorites, it made me feel like I was a spy and listening and watching the conversation between Zoe and Loren. It was executed very well and it gets the job done of showing me the conversation and setting of 2 people. Lastly, my personal favorite was the over the shoulder, the camera angle did a great job of showing us what an over the shoulder shot looks like. In my opinion I felt like I had power because I felt like I was right behind the person, being Zoe, without her realizing. The shot gave off like sneaky, mysterious, power vibes/feelings that gave the shot more meaning and value to me.
